  1. First, you must make a deposit at the casino of your choice. The money will be used to supplement your bankroll.
  2. Once you have done your banking and navigated yourself to the game, you must make your first bet. The betting limits vary from casino to casino but it shouldn’t be too high as roulette is a very affordable casino game to play.
  3. There is a host of possible bets to make but don’t worry because we go through this below.
  4. Once you’ve made your bet all that’s left to do is to click the spin button.
  5. The roulette wheel will spin and reveal the number that the ball has landed in.
  6. If you have won you will get a payout and continue to play or stop.
  7. When you want to continue playing, you will click on the re-bet button to make another bet.
  8. When you want to end the game, you will click on the clear bets button and you will be done with the game.

European Roulette Bets

There are various types of bets that you can make when you play this version of the game. Each bet has its own payouts and probability of occurring. Here are some different betting options:

  • Straight Bet
  • Split Bet
  • Column Bet
  • Odd/Even Bet
  • Dozen Bet

Advanced roulette players go the extra mile and use various European roulette strategies to up their game. The kind of bets you choose to make will depend on the strategy you have chosen to implement. You can find more information about the different types of strategies in roulette, here.

European Roulette Wheel

The European roulette wheel has 37 pockets which start at 0 and then move from 1 to 36. You are able to place a bet on each of these numbers. The European roulette wheel is divided into two colors – red and black- and each number on the wheel and roulette table is assigned a colour. There is also the green pocket that holds the number 0.

The numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15 and 17 are in the colour black. They are found on the outer circle on the right-hand side of the number 0. The numbers 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 32, 34, and 36 are in the color red, also found on the outer circle of the roulette wheel.

A similar layout is seen on the left-hand side of the number zero. The numbers 20, 22, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33 and 35 appear in black while numbers 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 16 and 18 appear in red. All the numbers on the left-hand side of the European roulette wheel are also found on the outer circle of the roulette wheel.

All these numbers and colors are possible bets that you can wager in with the hopes that the ball lands in the number you have chosen.

European Roulette Payouts

There are two classes of bets, inside bets and outside bets, each consisting of 5 different types. The former comprises small numbers, while the latter encompasses larger numbers. Each bet presents a different winning probability and thus different European roulette payouts.

In any roulette game, there are possible bets to make and all of them have a payout. See below for the different bets and their payouts:

The house edge is calculated by dividing the number of zeros on the wheel by the total number of pockets. The house edge in this instance is 2,67% which also presents the European roulette odds a player has of winning every time they place a bet.

Here are the bets and odds for each:

You simply log in to your account and opt to play the demo version. This gives you a feel for the game before betting any real money.
