Theme and Graphics

Snowmania is a light winter Christmas themed slot game. The festive season is a joyous time for many and is the one time of the year where the spirit of giving is high. Realtime Gaming definitely hopped onto that spirit when it developed this game as it comes will tons of opportunities to win.

The graphics and imagery in the game stay true to the theme of the game. The game is set in a winter wonderland with icy mountains and snow in the background. The theme is carried over with the symbols as well which we’ll get into in a bit.

Snowmania Features and Symbols

The kind of symbols found on the reels include a father Christmas beanie, ice wilds, bells, gingerbread men, candy canes, bonbons, wrapped presents and mistletoe.

Snowmania features a new concept called Crushing Symbols (which is similar to Rolling Reels from Microgaming or Cascading Reels from Playtech). Any symbols that appear in a line win will instantly be crushed, causing them to disappear from the reels altogether. New symbols will then drop from above to fill those empty positions and this could trigger another line win. In fact, this will continue happening until there are no more new winning combinations in view.

The Prize Multiplier (also known as Morph Magic) is always on display just above the reels. This starts out at 1X and then with each consecutive line win that occurs, this Prize Multiplier will also increase by one value. This can also boost line wins by 2X, 3X and 5X.

The two special symbols to keep an eye out for include the ice cube wild symbols and also the Christmas gift scatter symbols. The wild symbols will substitute all of the symbols except scatter symbols.

Scatter symbols trigger the free spins rounds. The most exciting thing about this bonus round is the fact that the crushing symbols feature is still active and the prize multiplier can now boost wins by 3X, 6X, 9X or 15X, rather than by 1X, 2X, 3X or 5X. Five more free spins will also be re-triggered if three or more scatter symbols show up on any of the free spins rounds. Scatter symbols only ever show up on reels 2, 3 and 4 (the three centre reels). The Scatter symbols can show up in any position across any of the five reels and when at least three of them show up you will instantly be awarded 10 free spins.

Snowmania Payouts

The most you can win from playing Snowmania is 37 500 coins. But apart from that, landing the right symbols on the reels can also bag you some winnings.

The candy cane and bell symbols are the highest paying ones. When five or more candy canes land on activated paylines you will receive a payout of 2500 coins. Five bells will secure you 1000 coins. The lower paying symbols include the bon bons, Christmas beanies, gingerbread man, mistletoe and carrots. Bon bons pay up to 300 coins, and the Christmas beanie pays 15 coins. The carrot, gingerbread man and mistletoe pays 100, 75 and 50 coins respectively.
